Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification for February 2011

well i have a serious issue with my pc
i only get 1 update, and this happend to me even last time microsoft released a MAJOR updates but i only got 1 update last time, few weeks ago also,
plz anyone? what's the issue ?

I followed the OP's link and under Non-Security I went to this link.

Description of Software Update Services and Windows Server Update Services changes in content for 2011 and then Bing gave me this when I looked for one of the updates. KB2487426

MS probably wont post the KB articles until Feb 8 so will have to wait for the official information. Maybe SP1 has not been released because of some install problems.

Just had a look at the updates and this is one of the 10 updates has it got any thing to do with sp1

This is what I pulled down today at 2:15. I have SP1 1850 loaded and IE9 Beta.

I see one for Office 2010, one for IE9 Beta and four for Win.

Just had a look at the updates and this is one of the 10 updates has it got any thing to do with sp1

Here is the link to the article.
An application error occurs in x86-based applications or services when you install SP1 on x64-based versions of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, or the Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2008 R2

On some installs of SP1 on 64bit systems if you have a 32bit program or service running the 32bit program or service will crash during the install of SP1. This update needs to be installed before SP1.

1 for Office 2010,
1 for Internet Explorer 8, and
5 for Windows.

Will be installing them in... 3...2...1... now

I was about to mention that!!! I see no reason why this should be the case since all the updates are security related, but I can swear the OS seems to run a bit smoother that before and so does IE9b!!! (again, I see no reason why this should happen - so maybe just wishful wishing!)

FYI

I had 10 total.
One Malicious tool removal

One 10MB for IE-9.

I installed them one at a time and all required restart except Malicious Removal Tool which I did last.

It took a bit longer but they all installed properly.

yes i've checked all those, they are all correct !!
don't know what to do , to make it work

Ditto, HQuest. Same exact updates on my end. I just let 'er rip with installing all of 'em at once and restarted when finished. No issues.

That's one interesting thing about that kb2487426...As I'm starting now from a fresh & clean Windows 7 install since two days, and i'm wondering if i would have the same probs stated earlier, in a install SP1...

Download Patch for Critical Windows 7 SP1 RC Vulnerability

Testers running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Release Candidate need to download a patch from Microsoft and update their copies of the operating system.

On February 8th, 2011, the Redmond company released, Microsoft Security Bulletin MS11-007 designed to patch a vulnerability the OpenType Compact Font Format (CFF) Driver.

This particular security flaw also impacts Windows 7 SP1 RC, and considering the fact that it has been rated Critical because it allows for remote code execution in the eventuality of a successful exploit, users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible.

“This security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in the Windows OpenType Compact Font Format (CFF) driver. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if a user views content rendered in a specially crafted CFF font.

“In all cases, an attacker would have no way to force users to view the specially crafted content. Instead, an attacker would have to convince users to visit a Web site, typically by getting them to click a link in an e-mail message or Instant Messenger message that takes users to the attacker's Web site,” Microsoft explained.
