Hey, I recently removed AVG and installed this program for windows

However, I can never use the interface, once the program opens, as soon as my mouse hovers over it, it just minimizes, and it does this all the time

When it minimizes, it disappears from the system tray and the task bar but is still open in the background?

Would anyone know how to sort this out

Resolved: I had a program called TrayIt running in the background which caused security essentials to minimize. Thanks for the help :)

Restart in safe mode and do a scan. Sounds like an infection.

Try running a third party program to scan for infections. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works good, Hitman Pro works OK too.

Is anti malware free? And a virus remover too?

Malwarebytes is free. Malwarebytes

Avast is another free anti-virus that works well with windows. It has a free version.
