Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter Code 10

I have been having networking problems for the past couple of months but nothing serious, until I bought a new printer and ran across this adapter, now Im guessing this thing is built in, I have been doing all kinds of research on it, and have tried every "fix" that I have seen and nothing has worked! REGEDIT fix hasn't worked, uninstall and reinstall hasn't worked, an update driver hasn't worked, im at a wall, im not an idiot but im not and IT Pro I know my way around the PC pretty well.

yeah that's one of the solution's I have done, and didn't work, but thanks for trying

Have you tried disabling IPV6 to see what effect that has?

Q. What are Microsoft's recommendations about disabling IPv6?
A. It is unfortunate that some organizations disable IPv6 on their computers running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008, where it is installed and enabled by default. Many disable IPv6-based on the assumption that they are not running any applications or services that use it. Others might disable it because of a misperception that having both IPv4 and IPv6 enabled effectively doubles their DNS and Web traffic. This is not true.

From Microsoft's perspective, IPv6 is a mandatory part of the Windows operating system and it is enabled and included in standard Windows service and application testing during the operating system development process. Because Windows was designed specifically with IPv6 present, Microsoft does not perform any testing to determine the effects of disabling IPv6. If IPv6 is disabled on Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008, or later versions, some components will not function. Moreover, applications that you might not think are using IPv6—such as Remote Assistance, HomeGroup, DirectAccess, and Windows Mail—could be.

Therefore, Microsoft recommends that you leave IPv6 enabled, even if you do not have an IPv6-enabled network, either native or tunneled. By leaving IPv6 enabled, you do not disable IPv6-only applications and services (for example, HomeGroup in Windows 7 and DirectAccess in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are IPv6-only) and your hosts can take advantage of IPv6-enhanced connectivity.

I'd say try disabling it and see what happens.

Anyone have a better resolution to this problem? I'm having the same issue with Teredo, code 10. Can't use IPv6 either. Therefore I can't use remote assistance. I have previously used remote assistance on this computer, but only once over a year ago. Ever since then, I've had continuous Teredo issues. I'm pretty tech savvy and have built my own computers, coded HTML, C++, Java, and Matlab...so I know my way around, but this has me stumped. I have tried the REGEDIT fix. I tried the command line netsh method to enable Teredo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Teredo dozens of times. I have tried enabling Teredo via gpedit.msc. I cannot uninstall IPv6, but have unchecked and rechecked the box several times (uninstall button is greyed out). Restarting with each change of course. Can't get IPv6 to display an address no matter what I do. Currently if I do the Regedit fix and set DisabledComponents to 0, the tunneling adapter in the Device Manager disappears, but the tree still shows up as if there is an error. If it set it back to 255 (decimal), the tunneling adapter displays again in the device manager, with the error flag. I've installed & reinstalled the Teredo adapter, updated the driver...and nothing fixes the problem. All drivers, including the network card, are updated. So now what? I need to be able to use remote assistance. I've attached other computers to the same router & modem and used remote assistance successfully, so I know the router isn't an issue.

This worked for me.

I didn't even realize I was having issues with this until, one day I'm just screwing around, checking "Devices and Printers", and here's the exclamation point on the icon representing my system. I troubleshoot and got the same results as OP. This solution was easy enough.
