Ye olde software maker Microsoft has sent out word that next week, on April's Patching Tuesday, it will deliver 11 updates which are meant to resolve a total of 25 vulnerabilities, some disclosed, but mostly (thankfully) still under wraps. One of the fixes, rated 'important', will tackle a DoS (Denial of Service) issue found in Exchange Server (2000, 2003, 2007 & 2010), while two will 'handle' problems within Office XP, 2003 and 2007.
The bulk of releases - one 'moderate', three 'important' (including the Exchange one), and five 'critical' are set to fix vulnerabilities in Windows operating systems that could lead to spoofing, DoS attacks, and remote code execution. The affected OS list includes Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003 and Server 2008 (R2) so be sure to update on Tuesday.
