I was attaching something to an email and I had not gone to the directory of the file since logging in. Clicking the attach item button brought me straight to the directory of the attachment I was going to send. Windows 7 has never done this before. Why would it do this? The only reason as to why this would happen I can see is that windows 7 would have recognized the directory if there was some kind of monitoring support/assist program, which remembered the folder directory from a previous login session, which I do not have.

If you had accessed this directory from your email program during your previous session, it probably has memorised that & when you went to attach an item to the email it took you straight to that directory.

I don't think you have some monitoring/assist program working in the background.

No that is not what happens. Like I said, it has never done this before.

The same occurrence happened today. This time: I clicked to open a new tab to go to this website and then double checked to see the problem again and a completely different folder location was brought up.
