migrated system from sas to sata and got 0x0000007b

Hello. I try to migrate windows 7 from vmware virtual machine with LSI Logic SAS controller to laptop with ahci.

I did:
1. "c:\Windows\System32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /reboot" on source vm;
2. boot source vm from "acronis backup and restore" from usb stick;
3. copy source disk of vm to the file on the netwotk;
4. boot destination laptop from "acronis backup and restore" from usb stick;
5. restore file from the network to the destination disk of laptop.

trying to boot laptop and got 0x0000007b (0xfffff880009a98e8,0xffffffffc0000034,0x0000000000000000,0x0000000000000000) while loading disk.sys.

I tried:
1. repair by windows 7 installation dvd;
2. some boot repair tools like acronis, paragon, etc.
3. connect c:\Windows\System32\config\SYSTEM from laptop as hive to regedit while loaded from windows 7 installation dvd; disabled all HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSetXXX\services with substring "SCSI miniport" by setting "Start"=dword:00000003, except amdxata, atapi, msahci like on my desktop pc;
4. acronis universal restore solution while restoring image with "acronis backup and restore".

no results, same issue. please help.

Make it sure that the target partition is active. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71432-partition-mark-active.html

Then run Startup Repair for three separate times, with restarts after every single run.

But this may not work. As the Installation was basically done with SCSI mode, it may still fail/refuse to boot with AHCI mode. And probably you will not be able to have that SCSI adapter for your laptop; at least I dont know.

If marking as active and running three instances of startup repair does not work, it would be better to go for a clean reinstall, IMHO.
