Minecraft freezes after 20sec in game

On my new laptop and after around 20 seconds in game minecraft freezes. I have put the graphics on both highest and lowest with no changes. Theres also 2 ways that my minecraft is crashing.
1st: Minecraft just stops and i have to open task manager to close it.
2nd: Minecraft freezes and then i get a black screen. Then it goes back to the main screen, minecraft closes, and then in the bottom right a message pops up saying. "AMD video has stopped responding and has recovered successfully. I tried finding drivers but couldent in the end what now!

Difficult to say. Your computer does not seem to be working properly. Given that I know very little about your computer, it is difficult to recommend any troubleshooting steps or reasons why it is not working properly.

Even though you are not getting a blue screen crash, please follow the http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html to provide us with the application error logs to see if they indicate why Minecraft stops working.
