minimal W7 install?

Hello,
I would like to ask if it's possible to install windows 7 with bare minimum components so that I could run a resource-hungry Digital Audio Workstation program with no stuttering. My RAM and processor are quite new, but it's still not enough with W7... I appreciate any advice, thank you for your time.

Yes some services can be disabled. Here is our Tutorial, which may prove to be a good starting point.

You would be better served increasing your ram... You would need to spin your own version of a minimal install, and to be honest, You'd be taking too much of a risk of borking your system, just to run one piece of software... Good Luck..

I really haven't found much improvement at all on a fairly middle of the road box by changing the services or adjusting the aero interface. Just my $0.02.

Onaddy, fill out your System Specs from User CP. That will us an idea what you currently have and what hardware improvements could be made.
