missing Maxtor HD

I used to have one! It seems to have disappeared, and I run diagnostics, and shows that the driver is messed up. I uninstall old driver, replug the external Maxtor HD back in, it shows that it installed a new driver, and I have to reboot. I do that, and still no HD. This is what I get, any help would be awesome, I have tons of shows I taped on the drive!! AHH!

Not sure if I said it is an external hd, usb. I unpluged the cable, and using a different usb port vs the other cable same port, and it worked. I wish I knew the tech names for the different cables. one was flat and rectangular, the other more square instead of rectangular w/ a rounded end...

OK try plugging it in a usb port on the computer not the hub. It should work then. Oh yes you done that. Good.
