windows xp , 7 home , Ultimate
How did you upgrade from HP to Ultimate? What exactly occurred, step by step?

Make sure Win7 HD remains set to boot first in BIOS Setup, after DVD/CD drive.

If this fails to start it, then run Startup Repair as suggested from DVD Repair console or Repair CD, or until you can obtain one of those tap F8 at bootup to access Repair Console, accept any offered repair once you boot into it, if this fails click through to System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair.
