Missing operating system Raid 0

So I got a missing operating system error and my computer keeps going into an endless system recovery loop. I can't get it to find the drives with the operating system on it to repair. I have my OS on a RAID 0 set of HDD's. I have a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P MB and went to their site and got the raid drivers and when I try and load them it says the specified location does not contain any information about your hardware. Any idea on what I can try?

Are both drives functioning ok ?

Test the HD's using the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan followed by a full Disk Check from the Win7 installation media or Repair CD System Recovery Options Command Line.

We see nothing but problems here with RAID which isn't even Redundant since when one drive fails you almost always lose all data. So if you cannot restore the RAID to rescue your data I would unplug all but one hard drive and do a Clean Reinstall Windows 7

Damn. Well I ran the seagate diagnostic tool and sure enough one of the HDD is bad. It used to boot up and say both drivers were connected to the RAID controller during startup. After I ran the test one is missing now. Ugh. So I guess its time for a new drive to run the OS on. Is SSD the way to go now? Also if I install windows on another HDD is there any chance to pull the data off the RAID drives if I somehow get the other to show during the boot process?

Only if the failing drive will come back to life enough to recreate the RAID.

Be sure to unplug all other drives during install.
