missing operating system

help needed after shutting down my pc last night
when i started this morning it says "missing operating system"
i try to use my windows 7 dvd nothing is working too
checked the BIOS if d hard-disk is not connected but is connected


help plz

Try reconnecting the disk data and power cables, if its still undetected on bios, then the disk is dead.

If the BIOS does detect it, you probably just need to boot from your Windows 7 disc and run a repair.

1. Is this a laptop or a desktop PC?

2. Have you changed any settings in the BIOS? Particularly the Boot Order.

3. Do you have any extra hard drives (or just one) or external drives (including USB sticks) connected while this is happening?
