Hello.

Using Windows 7 64. I've two users for my PC:

User 1 (admin/me)
User 2 (wife).

When I launch my spouse's desktop, I see shortcuts to programs I use on my desktop. I want to delete those shortcuts from her desktop.

But when I navigate to Users/<her name>/Desktop directory (when I'm logged into my desktop), I do not see any of those shortcuts, just those for other things (browser, .pdfs, etc.)

They are of course in the Users/Public/Public Desktop directory, and deleting from there delete's the shortcuts from my desktop.

Hope you can help.

You can move them from Users/Public/Public Desktop to Users/<YourUsername>/Desktop to remove them only for other accounts.

Yes, you are correct.

Public is public!

Still would like to know why OP is logging in as Admin and not as a User?
