Missing WLM plugin from WMP

Hi guys. I'm using the 64 bit version of Windows 7. For an unknown reason, the Windows Live Messenger plugin is missing from my installation of Windows Media Player, which means people cant see what I'm listening to or watching on WLM. Reinstalling WLM didnt help. What do I do?

I only have a similar file in that folder, pmsong.dll, no numbers in the file name. When I try to register that file using the command the guide mentions, I get the "unrecognized command" error message.
