help?
i have recently got a netbook that has a built in 3g modem.

It came with orange internet everywhere software, but i dont want to have to go and get an orange sim, i do though have a spare vodafone sim.

Is there any software for windows that will allow me to use that instead?

Probable not. Best place to check is with netbook mfr and vodaphone.

Technically you do not need any extra software to that native in win7. What may be an issue is obtaining the information required to set up the 3G MODEM for another provider - you could also find that the modem is SIM locked to Orange, as with mobile phones.
assuming the SIM is not locked - If you obtain a starter pack for another ISP then running the software will set up the MODEM which will then work with the built-in functions - or contact the ISP and see if they will provide the information.
