Solved mobo temps

I've been using different software to see and figure out what temp goes to what senor and to what piece of hardware. And for the most part I seem to have it figured out. That is until I used AIDA64 Extreme, and in using it there is a temp related to mobo called MCP. I've never seen/heard this one before and it's temp is between 60*C to 65*C. I've done some googling and it seems to refers to NB and its heat sink but I've found nothing specific to my mobo.

Is this temp ok at it's current value or should I be worried.

Thanks pooch....but man, that seems awful high to me. At least my temp is 15 to 20 degrees less than that. Now the big question; in my specs you'll see my mobo make and model, where axacatly on my mobo is that chip? I've not been able to find it.

All I found was its Multi Chip Package and may refer to the nVIDIA graphics chip.

I am guessing it is from your onboard NVIDIA® GeForce 8300 Graphic. It is the one right in the middle of your board

Yup, I think that chip also contains the Northbridge, which would account for its high temps.

Just out of interest it may be possible to direct a little more cold air in the direction of that chip, I have even seen cooling fins that are designed to be stuck onto chips that will aid in the cooling, but that was a few years back and I do not know if you would still be able to buy them today, or how effective they would actually be .

Way ahead of you Pooch...but seems there are no coolers specifically for that chipset. Go figure...lol. I have found some nice 40mm x 40mm x 20mm fans and with some modders mesh make a mounting bracket for the fan. Just like some of the memory fans and brackets I've seen...I'll be getting one of those as well...Kingston has as nice one on newegg.com.
