i have a canon fs11 camcorder which records using the .mod format...
now i would like to burn these .mod video files to a dvd so that i can play it in any dvd player.. i spent the last 3 hrs trying to find some software that would help me out but failed.....
could anybody suggest how i could do this with any free software...
(i tried renaming them to .mpg extension and tried burning them using windows burner but i got a dvd that wont play in a dvd player...)
Mov files are essentially Mpeg2 files (just what you need to create a standard DVD)
First of all I must say that I don't have any mod files to test with nor have I ever used windows burner.
But I know that a standard DVD needs a VOB file structure. as long as Windows burner doesn't deliver that, those DVDs won't play. (at least not on a standard player). What you need is some sort of authoring software (which creates the correct structure needed plus most of them are capable to let you create a menu)
