Yep
The gpu though is because I swapped out the gpu
It did have my asus 980 and now I'm back with the evga 980 hybrid
The asus 980 is back in my x99 build I finally figured out why I couldn't use 144Hz resolution using a display port on it on my AOC g-sync monitor
Freaking asus gpu tweak issue

Using MSI Afterburner it works great

Best thing about this new cooler is it's stable it hardly moves from the shown 41/ 42c I guess that is the ambient or system temp ?

I'm also using the same 2-120mm PWM enermax fans

ambient temp is the temp of the room the computer is in. Your not going to get any colder than that with air or water cooling as long as your incoming air is ambient from the room.


My inside case air temp is 23.1C and the room temps 22C, with the system in my specs. The water in the cooling system is a 24.1C. CPU temps avg. high is 30C at this time.

I presume that the cpu is running at 41C and that is a good temp for a cpu and your system.

Simple: At the present time.

Ambient temp. (room) 22C
CPU temp avg. high 30C
Inside case air temp. 23C

What is this telling me?
It tells me my cpu is running cool.
It tells me the case air flow is proper because the air inside the case is not much higher than the ambient temps in the room.
If the air temps inside the case are a lot higher than the room ambient temps more air flow in the case is needed. That means controlling where the intake fans are located, the path of the flow of the air through the case and where the air is exhausted.

The closer the room air temp are to the air temps inside the case indicates better case cooling.

You have to use a separate gauge to get the air temp inside the case.

Yea on realtemp I don't know exactly what core 0 and core 3 is really

Bios says 26c is cpu which is pretty close to what realtemp shows for core 1
I assume core 0 and 3 are system temps not cpu temps. or ambient either :/

Air flow well I do have 2 front intake and the exhaust is out the top also with 2
All 4 are sp140's plus 2 120mm enermax blowing straight up though one of the sp140 exhaust fans

About all i could do with it the cpu cooler is massive so i had to ehaust it through the top instead of the back.

RealTemp is reading each core of your cpu. They should read close to each other. Within a 2 or 3 deg. C.

The point I was trying to get to; is that you could improve your cpu temp by improving your inside case temps. You control this by not only how many fans you have but also there location.

Controlling exactly how the air flow through the case. All the air in my case exhaust out the top. Six push pull fans. No place else. All other places for air to go are blocked. Air comes in the bottom, back and the front and has to go out the top.

Yep seems I need to get some more fan controllers
Right now I have 1 split with 2 fans on it same goes for the top exhaust

I believe that prevents the fans from using the full rpm's it's rated for I believe 1440rpm's max
The sp120's are rated at 2350 rpms :/

Some how my damn post is disappearing. I will try again.
I use a full 12 volts on all fans.
The radiators are 1650 rpm and the case fans are 1200 rpm. They are quiet.
Only your ears will be able to inform you if your fans are to loud at what speed.

I use a couple of these to measure air temps inside and and outside of the case.
When I did auto air conditioning they were a must. Fore me atleast. Inside and outside car temp along with humidity.

I'm only using 2 ports on this because I used a splitter to connect 2 fans to 1 twister that I believe is the problem both fans are not using the full 12v I'd bet

Powered straight off of the power supply using a molex adapter from a main power harness with a adapter to a fan connector. The fan connector connects to the end of the box and all other fans or light connect to the sides ports of the hub.

Molex adapter and other small jumpers come with the kit.
When their is power to the hub the front has lights that lets you know its powered. I use three of those hubs in my last build.

You could control the hub voltage with a fan controller powering it. It all depends what the fans amp draw in total is compared to what the fan controller is rated at.

If I used a fan controller I would make sure it was rated at least 20% higher than the total fan amp draw was.
On start up with a lot of fans the amp draw of the fans will peak very high for a instant and then drop down.

A hub also makes it easier to route fan or light wiring.
It made it a lot easier for me to hide all the wires to 14 fans and a bunch of lights. I did have to change the length of some of the harness going to the fans and lights to keep things neat and tidy.
That is why the computer gods made solder, heat shrink and sleeving.

Okay yea I looked at it's bother the hub+ and it said molex
30a max I have no idea what mine is but I did connect 2 of the fans directly to the existing controller and left 1 on the rpm twister and they are running the same speed

I believe it's just the fans are already maxed out at 1450rpm

If you Google your fans and fan controller you should find what their amp draw rating is.

I don't see anything but 12v in and out for the controler

Your controller should have a input of 12 volts.
What you need to know is how many amps each channel of the controller is rated at.

I connected all 4 fans to the controller since the 1450rpm fans aren't all that loud
I just realized the Green led fans there is only one sp140 fan available pretty much why i ended up with them I wanted green so anything else and I'd have to get wind series fans

Any how after messing with it again I went a head and took a picture
All I can say is massive


Also finally got my front case usb3 ports working as usb2 with one of these
