Any thoughts guys ?

Installs ok. Appears to launch ok, but just get a black screen, ie, no video out.
Applied the 1.2 patch with no change.
Run in compatibility with XP SP2, no change.
You can hear sound so the game appears to launch, but with no video.

The older MOH games all installed and ran on this rig ok, so thought this one would be ok.

Any advice please ?

Perhaps the video/audio drivers got corrupted, uninstall and install a fresh copy and try again.

Andy, just make sure you set up your resolution properly and that you have DirectX updated. The game is quite old and may not work with high resolutions (I had the same problem with my 1920x1080 res) but it does work nevertheless.

Thanks guys.

I have already removed / installed it again with no change.
I have left it at its default 800x600 when launching to make sure it was not the higher res causing the concern.

Quite stumped by this !
Its running, as I can hear it, just can't see it.
I have played a lot of old games on this rig, and this appears to be the first I can't get to run.

Another thing, when you were installing the game, did you by any chance skip the DirectX installation that the game requires? This is a common problem that we all have done at some point since we figure that our DX is newer than what the game wants to install but, many of the problem that arise with this old games are exactly that... you must install the dx part of said game.

Don't worry, it won't damage your DX.

Hmm, It does not give an option during the install regarding the DirectX.
Just to be sure, I loaded it to an XP machine using the same monitor, and it does run on that.

Search a post I made on Medal of Honor or Call of Duty old games, IIRC, I also had some issues but I finally fixed it... can't remember what it was or what I did though.
