My mom asked me to help her with a problem with her internet this morning. She was connected to the internet, but IE (her only browser) would not work. In the process of troubleshooting, MSE popped up saying that it had found a threat. It found Cycbot.G. After a quick scan, it found the same infection, along with a couple potential threats, which I sent the data of along to Microsoft, which seemed to work just fine. While looking through MSE's history, the only other infection it showed was one it found yesterday, a trojan, Iframe.AC. It then popped up again saying that it had found Cycbot.G. I updated malwarebytes, and did a quick scan and am now doing a full scan. After updating MBAM, I disconnected the computer from the home network. I was wondering if anyone could provide information on the viruses I listed above, including any files or folders they would be associated with in Windows 7. If there is any other advice I could get I would appreciate it.
