May sound like i'm looking for a keylogger.. Well why not, since i'm for myself xD I do too many things at a time and often my computer will crash when going to sleep.

When i reboot it i have no traces of what i was doing and i can't recall all.. Sometimes i totally forget important things, which leads to trouble!

Windows doesn't have the MAC features to reopen everything in the exact state it was when you closed it sadly. Any free app to recommend? Thanks.

You would be better off spending your labor on stopping the computer crashes.

It still happens from time to time anyways.. So is there such a program, without being a keylogger?

Not that I know of.

Sleep is mostly controlled by videodrivers. It might be worth your time to try other versions... even if you have to go back to an older version.

I am with UsernameIssues here regarding solving the crash problem rather than a workaround (which to my knowledge doesn't exist).

Well there's some good advice already. However you could try CacheMyWork

You'd still need to save any currently open files before shutting down and aslo enable "Recent files" lists in any applications that you're using. The applications (but not the files you were viewing) will re-open after a reboot. You'd need to look at the recent document list of an application to work out what you were doing last time.

For browsing - SlimBoat (portable) can restore your browsing session after a reboot.

Or you can use the installed version instead: SlimBrowser

Or how about just taking a screenshot of your desktop and saving it before you shutdown?

Then look at the saved screenshot to see which apps you were using.

IE has an option to start with the tabs from the last session as well. No idea if it persists a restart though.

Tested: SlimBoat does reopen all tabs in that were in use after a reboot. Never knew that all browsers could do that.
