Monitor Question.

So I use my 42' Samsung Plasma TV thats connected to a HD 4850 (Up to date) Yet under Advance propeties it shows up as a generic PNP monitor. the driver is dated in 2006...Is that normal?

Yes, that's the generic driver provided by Microsoft.
Many times monitors will ship with a disc with the manufacturer's more current driver.
If you really need the Samsung driver, you should be able to find it online.
