Solved Monitor sleep shortcut?

Prelude:

My monitor power button is broken so I leave it powered and it goes to sleep after 15 minutes. That's all good except there are times when I want it to sleep 'now'. Its a big bright screen and lights up the room and it can seem a long 15 minutes until it dims.

If I use the Windows sleep shortcut, it puts the whole computer to sleep and then my wireless mouse and keyboard don't respond to wake it up.

Question: Is there a shortcut that will just put my monitors to sleep?

I found this program but Avast flagged it as infected.
