My asus lcd monitor supports 85hz but when I press on 85 hz it says ´out of range´. I enabled the ´hide modes that this computer cannot show´, so it obviously supports 85hz.
In xp I could get at up to 120 hz.
I have ati radeon asus eah3450. I´ve read that win7 doesn´t support refresh rates higher than 75hz. Is this true? If yes, how to disable it?

Make and model number of the monitor would help.

Actually no, your monitor supports up to 75Hz (vertically) which is the same thing you're getting from Windows.

The 85Hz is Horizontally. :)

You're running at max Hz your monitor supports, leave it like that and be happy :D

Btw, how could you have had "up to 120Hz in Windows XP" in that monitor if the specifications on the ASUS Website are not wrong, they clearly state:

Signal Frequency

30-83KHz (H)
56-76Hz (V)

Sounds to me like you had the "List modes that are not supported on this monitor" in Windows XP, or the ASUS people are really weird.

That's the 2 things that comes to my mind right now

Cheers :D
