Particularly for Jacee, benjy206, and gregrocker. This was the problem that you helped me solve. I am afraid to hook up the keyboard that gave me the problem that put my computer to sleep after I hit that moon symbol on the board, so I opted to send it back. My packing slip did not include the shipping label necessary to do that, so I called Dell to get that shipping label. . After a lot of conversation, I was talked into going back to Tech and explain the problem to them again. This time, I got a more receptive guy who couldn't help me but did transfer me to an expert on the keyboards. I told him what happened when I hit that moon symbol and that it shut my computer down and I had to go about getting help from forums, etc. He told me that all I had to do was to push the power button and hold it in for thirty seconds and let it out then hit it again to turn the unit back on and my computer should "wake up". Now my friends, I am about to try that to see if it works and if it does I'm wondering why the Tech I talked to on the first day the problem occured couldn't take the 10 seconds to tell me that rather than trying to get $129 out of me for a service contract. I will let you all know how it works out. Thanks again. Zuko53

It worked. I hit the half-moon key on my keyboard and it put my computer to "sleep". I then pressed the power button and held it in for 30 secs and let it go. I then pushed the button to turn the computer on again and my computer turned on, but I got a selection on how to start the computer. I opted for "Start your computer normally." and Voila! my computer came on. Now I ask another question; Why do people want to put their computers to sleep anyhow. Have a great day. Zuko53
