its 1 T B ( not 1 I T ) my eyes are losing it!

anyway the reg might be worth more than the car! there must be a site that gives reg prices? id like gopher1.......

I guess in other countries you can sell your personalized plates/registration to other parties.

In the UK, every new car or second-hand imported car has to be registered with the Driving Licence & Vehicle Agency (DVLA).

The car has to have the same registration number fitted to the front and rear of the car and an annual road tax has to be paid to the DVLA.

The amount of road tax is determined by the CO2 emissions from the car exhaust (muffler to you lot!).

DVLA will sell personalised number plates for some quite astronomical sums.

I live in Peterborough and the first car registered in my area many years ago was given the number plate EG 1. EG referred to the geographical area where the car was sold and 1 because it was the first car sold in the area.

EG 1 can now be seen on the Mayor's official limousine - a Bentley the last time I saw it.

I thought that the UK requires at least one letter and one number. I would guess at A1.

Certainly can and some people make a business out of it!
I would hate to think what the price of let's say for example
an "ELVIS" number plate would be worth in Memphis.
(Motgage the house, sell the car, live on the streets- but nice number plates)
