Motherboard doesn't see Hard drives after flash

Hey guys,

I got a new motherboard yesterday, installed it, and installed windows. This morning, I decided it would be a good idea to flash the UEFI (BIOS) to the newest version.

Now, when I try to boot, it just sits with a gray cursor at the top left of the screen. I went into the UEFI and went to boot order, but it only shows my 1TB hard drive and my dvd drive. But I had a 750GB hard drive with windows installed. I think this is the reason it won't boot, because it doesn't see the drive with the OS installed.

What should I do? Flash it to the earliest version?

Perhaps the boot sequence changed with the flash, is the HDD set as first boot device?

I tried changing it, but the 750GB HDD isn't even listed.

Perhaps you should go back to the default settings, why did you feel the flash was needed, it seldom is necessary at all and a lot more risk than people realize, it should only be a last resort to try and fix a known issue.

I went to advanced, storage configuration. It shows my 750GB hard drive. :O? Why can't I boot from it lol.

Should I still try default settings anyway?

What's 'storage config' set at IDE or AHCI?

I don't know. What Is AHCI? I don't have any IDE devices, so I'm guessing AHCI

Set the BIOS back to default and I bet all will be OK then; and leave well enough alone!

Reset all the setting back to the way you had them set before the flash.
This why it best keep the BIOS at default.

I set to UEFI defaults but it still doesn't show the hdd. Should I try setting it to AHCI?

Nevermind, I got it.

I went to the boot section, and there was something called Hard Drive BSS priorities. I went in there, and it showed my 2 HDDs. The 1TB was the 1st priority. I switched it with the other one and now windows is booting.
