Solved Motioninjoy BSOD while playing SSF4 0x0000010D

Hello guys, im new here!

I'm experiencing a BSOD crash while playing SSF4 (used to have only at this game).

After i tried everything, I formatted, and now windows is not saving minidump files.

Before formatting I used nirsoft Bluescreenview to see what i could gather from the problem, and i found

ntoskrnl.exe
wdf01000.sys
win32k.sys (sometimes only)
mijxfilt.sys (sometimes ony too)

That's all i can remember, now whenever I have the blue screen the stop says 0x0000010D stop cause.

I've tried everything!

Any help would mean everything for me!

Hello, i downgraded the version of 7.10001 to 6.00004 (i guess something like that)
My BSOD's until now stopped, BUT i still have the controller disconnecting every round of playing SSF4 (super street fighter 4)

The controller also disconnects in FF7 (a lot lesser)

I still did not have any BSOD's yet, but i'll keep this thread updated,
Any ideas how to not disconnect controller every round?

PS: everytime it disconnects it makes the windows sounds of pulling out an USB and putting one in,
I've also tried changing USB ports.

Hi xPigx.

The crash dump that you uploaded does not say it precisely that the BSOD is caused by mijxfilt.sys. But we know that it is problematic sometimes, and downgrading the driver is the appropriate step there. So what you have done is a perfect step.

If you think the sudden disconnection may be a driver/software issue, you may enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers. It will point the failing driver out.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Hi Arc,

I've done what you asked (running verifier) for but could not run into the desktop

Had an early BSOD with the NVLDDMKM.sys

Here it is the SF file.

I've tried a few times, disabling and toggling in again but never did work.

Any ideas?

PS: I had a NVLDDMKM.SYS BSOD before,and,i had a GTX 560 Ti. After it,I put my GTX 560 Ti in another computer and it worked like a charm so i sold to a friend and got a gtx 570 instead, It has never brought me any trouble yet, the NVLDDMKM.sys BSOD stopped, but after seeing the verifier accusing NVLDDMKM.sys again, could it possibly be the MB?

PS,2 :Still can't use my controller, keeps disconnecting every round i play in Street Fighter 4.

The zip does not contain any crash dump.

If you cannot run DV successfully, then fee up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Now enable DV again. Make it sure that you are not selecting any driver provided by "microsoft" and "unknown". Hopefully it will go to desktop before it crashes and there will be recorded crash dump.

nvlddmkm.sys is the display driver, and teh installed version is 331.28 WHQL. As a test, you may install an earlier version which is known to be stable. Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.

• Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
  • 3D Vision Control Driver
  • 3D Vision Driver
  • Graphics Driver
  • HD Audio Driver
  • PhysX
  • nvidia Update
  (Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
• Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
• Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:
  
  

If it still BSODs with nvlddmkm.sys, we will do some further things.

EDIT:
Hey Arc and guys, I'm sorry i did not answer, i solved my problem!

The BSOD was caused by Motioninjoy new driver, so i downgraded to 6.0003 and the controller disconnecting was the USB cable, in the end of it near the connection to the PC was malfunctioning.

I'm sorry i did not check on the NVLDDMKM problem Arc,

I hope everyone who has the same problem downgrade to an older version!
