Mouse File Selection Marquee

Is there a way to select files using mouse / marquee like it's done in XP?
In Windows 7/8, the marquee selects all across the page including date modified, type, size ect, whereas in XP only the name is selected - as in pics.

Are you trying to copy the file list to somewhere? Then the extra columns WOULD be a nuisance. You could just paste it into your document, then select the area that you don't want and click the DELETE key.

In XP, I had a utility called Karen's Directory Printer, which printed just plain text lists of all the files in a folder. I don't know if it works on Win 7, because the developer died some years ago.
