Mouse keeps freezing on hp 3180us

My mouse keeps freezing on my hp 3180us. It seems to happen very randomly. I will usually have to restart multiple times to get it to work again. The light to show if it is enabled or disabled still works, if I plug in a wireless mouse then it will work, and I can still use other items such as the keyboard. Though it has completely frozen all together a few times.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, run avast, superantispyware, spybot, and malware bytes. I cant seem to figure out why it is happening.

The mouse is by Synaptics.

Can anyone offer any help?
