Mouse noise

Hello,
I have a little problem here, which is kind of weird.
I can hear my mouse movement from my headphones, like a really faint noise which is kind of disturbing.
I have done some little researching, and its something related to Onboard sound card which interferes with the USB, and the solution would be to buy a new Sound Card.

I really don't have the money to buy a sound card right now, so what would be another solution for that problem?

PS: The noise can be heard from speakers too, not only from the Headphone.

It cant be replaced, its onboard

I know how to update the driver, and i already have the latest driver, even though i don't think its a driver fault actually. But i think i'm going to have to buy a sound card, its the only solution

If you fit a new sound card then that will over ride your onboard sound. How old is the original PC?
EDIT
Just had a thought, your system looks fairly new so have you thought it might be the mouse. Have you a spare to try. Be a shame to buy and fit a new sound card if it was the mouse causing the problem!

I tried with another mouse the problem still persists. I think my only option would be to buy a new sound card. Dang :/

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet ?

it's an old problem, I had it on XP and have it on W7.
I've changed my sound cards, mobo, and mice, and still the problem persists.
The only thing in common is my gcards are ATI so i suspect this may be where the problem lies.

Previously I used a Logitech wireless mouse and a Creative Audigy 2 sound card.

Now I use a Gigabyte wired mouse, and I have 2 soundcards, the on-board 'Soundmax' (as default) and a Focusrite Sapphire Pro24DSP (for my music production software only) - the mouse noise comes out of both sound cards simultaneously which (as only the Soundmax is assigned as the default) inidicates the noise is in the system path prior to the sound cards.

So forget the speed of gravity, does anyone actually hava clue to a solution

Now I use a Gigabyte wired mouse

it's not an audio card problem as both cards that i use now and my old card all had the same prob.

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the ATI graphics drivers as although i changed g/cards i still use ATI and so still use Catalyst drivers

i was hoping someone might have heard of this prob

The "buzz" is electronic noise picked up by the soundcard.

This can sometimes be fixed by muting any sound sources you are not actually using, particularly the microphone. If you sometimes use a microphone either be sure that it is always plugged in and turned on, an empty microphone connector plug will pick up noise and amplify it, or simply mute the microphone except when you want to use it.

Go into the soundcard control panel or the Windows Audio Device Control Panel (the Windows Mixer) and mute all sound sources except the "Play Control" which is the master volume.

In Win 7:
Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Manage Audio Devices

Click on Speakers -> Properties

On the Levels tab you can mute the various sound sources.

Never know this on a desktop before mainly laptops. zBobG is right though, System sounds and or line in generally kills this.

soz, yes, should have mentioned, all superfluous i/o's muted - mouse noise on speakers and phones of both s/cards. All audio leads are pro qual (OFC/gold)

i've been building pro studios since the days of the STFM, and pro audio PC's since '98. Generally i'll use nVidia cards because i've never found a solution to the mouse-noise prob with ATI cards, but my main studio machine is also for vid editing and 2D/3D animation so I needed something to handle 4 monitors with a view to adding 2 more monitors this year hence i have a 6950,... and a buzzy mouse

Are your sound device(s) and your mouse possibly sharing an IRQ address perhaps?

If they are it'd probably be the cause, and you could simply attempt to reassign interrupts...
