Hi,

I've just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and have installed Microsoft Office. I was configuring my Outlook account and transferring my personal files. After adding several, another file wouldn't work and in the end Outlook stopped responding. Ever since then I can open Outlook but haven't been able to use it. My mouse is stuck in the background (desktop) and will not work in Outlook (cannot click in the window at all or close it). The mouse works in other Office programs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Seven Forums!

Are you using any type of cursor customization software? Because those programs can sometimes cause problems like this.

If not, did you make sure to get your personal files out of the Outlook folder before you reinstalled it? Because one of those files could be causing the problem.
