Don't know if this is just me or if it's a specific Windows 7 issue.

Navigating through Explorer sometimes you need to find out some information about a file. Hover your mouse over the file and you get information. I was looking to see if any of the tracks on an album were larger than expected thus containing a secret track at the end.

Why is it the mouse over works sometimes and not others with no seeming pattern. You hover over some files and you get info, some not and some will eventually if you move away and back and away and back.

I would like to be able to turn off this wretched feature ;)
Which as you say, has a mind of it's own and doesn't perform when it's needed. The whole thing annoys me no end.
To get track info I prefer to right click for properties - when I need to.

To turn off go to 'Organize/Folder and Search Options/View tab' Uncheck 'Show pop-up discription for....'

I usually right click/properties myself although pop-ups are on I don't pay much attention to them most of the time.

In a lot of cases the idea is a good one. My example of checking album tracks - to check 12+ tracks by right clicking/properties would take awhile. Hovering saves a lot of time - well if it worked it would :D

Here is a little program I have used for many years.
I know it is dated 2004.
I suits me, I like it, and it works in Seven.
See what you think:

Hope it helps :)
