Solved Mouse Over taskbar windows going to desktop.

Can anyone help me? I recently had my computer reformatted and now when i mouse over an icon and then mouse over the mini-view of the full window, it brings up that window, and minimizes everything else. Then when i move the cursor everything goes back to normal. ITS SO ANNOYING!

Any suggestions?

That's the way Windows 7 works, it's called a taskbar thumbnail preview.

Hello Stephen,

This Aero feature is called "taskbar thumbnail live preview", and it is suppose to do this by default. As you described, it allows you to see a quick preview of any opened window from it's taskbar thumbnail that you have the mouse point hovered on.

If you like though, using step 3 in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below will effectively disable this feature.

I tried to do it manually but i think i put it in the wrong folder, i used the 1000sec...reg and it worked like a charm!
