Solved Mouse pointer not moving, or stuttering/hanging HELP! D:

Hello everyone!
I have had a Razer Naga for a few years, and haven't had a lot of problems, although I have encountered some over the years.

Every time I restart my PC, the mouse pointer don't work.
I have to re install every driver, Synapse 2.0 and the firmware as well. It's luck if it works after that.
It is stuttering/hanging and if feels like i'm moving it on a grid. It is hard to notice the stuttering if you are moving the mouse quick enough, doing normal tasks on the PC.
But if you are moving the mouse slow enough or playing games. FPS games, Battlefield 3 etc. it is unbearable.
It's very annoying, and as said, if you are playing games (FPS) you know how annoying it can be.

Anyway, I am pretty sure it isn't the hardware. When the mouse stops moving, and i'm trying to clean it with a piece of cotton it suddenly moves slightly. Which makes me think the sensor works.

As stated, the drivers are a huge mess, I don't know my way around those. I really hate Razer's Drivers and software, Synapse 2.0..

But as said, it feels like it is moving on a grid, which is my main problem. If feels like it is moving on a grid, with slight stuttering at some points of the screen. Might compare it to moving the sensor over a dirty mousepad, or surface. (I got a new mouse pad yesterday.)

Any help apreciated.

PS: I have ordered a G600 MMO mouse now as well, which I will probably get in a few days.

The Naga stopped working again. :/
I plugged in a old Logitech mouse, it didn't notice the "grid" I was mentioning. (My main issue)

Here is a picture of me moving my mouse around in paint, with red rings around the areas where the mouse has "stuttered" or suddenly stopped.
Every time the mouse stops/stutters it feels like the pointer is hitting the edge of the monitor, or a window. It feels like I can't move it any further in that direction.
If I move my mouse to the left while this happens I can still move the cursor in another direction.

I assume your mouse is plugged into a USB port. Try it with the PS-2 (old round one) port if you have one. The reason is, IIRC, USBs are "software polled" while the PS-2 is interrupt driven. For example, my keyboard is plugged into my PS2 port as I'd always have the ability to ctl-alt-del to get out of something since it's interrupt-driven.

I was going to write a robust trace program for users to solve problems. One of those I tooled around with was the USB tracing abilities of Windows (writes to a .etl file that can then be formatted into an EXCEL spreadsheet).

Is this an optical mouse? Wireless? Ball/wired?

You could try running a sfc/scannow to double check and repair any corrupted windows files. I don't think thats your problem but you never know. Could just be your mouse giving up the ghost.

I have a PS/2 port, but I dont have a PS/2 - USB adapter.
My mouse is wired, althoug im using a wireless atm. As my wired one stop working on startups.
And can't get it to work now..
I tried to sfc /scannow, and it didn't find anything.

I am not sure, but it might have somtething to do with "nivesal Serial Bus (USB)-controller "
I couldn't update it, and it had a warning sign on it. (A yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it.. )
I searched online for drivers, but couldn't find any.

My mouse crapped out, and the right click broke for some reason. So theres the fix, throw it in the bin.. ^^
