Mouse pointer visible during game

In some games, my mouse pointer remains visible during the game. For example, right now I'm playing Luxor 4, and while you use the mouse to move, I also see the mouse pointer as well, and it's very distracting. It moves right along with my shooter. It obviously doesn't belong on the screen during gameplay. I've seen this in all the Luxor games I've played, and I can't believe this is normal. I'm using a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse. Is there a setting in Windows that would affect this?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, in smaller games, like Luxor, there are virtually no options other than vsync and high-textures. There is nothing that affects mouse cursor. I can't believe after years and several Luxor games that they would still have this problem, so that's why I'm guessing it's got to be a Windows issue for me.

As you may know Luxor games had\have compatibility problems with Windows 7.

I was not aware that there were compatibility issues with the Luxor games. But I'm trying out Luxor Evolved right now, and it's a new game that certainly should be designed for Windows 7.

I did try it in compatibility mode for XP SP3, but it still has the same issue.

Panais, I gave that a try and no luck, the mouse pointer is still on the screen at all times while I play. My shooter moves fine but the mouse pointer follows it along and gets in the way, and ruins the whole game. The shooter itself stays on the bottom of the screen, and only moves side-to-side, but the mouse pointer has full movement all over the screen, so even though my shooter only moves left or right as intended, while I'm doing that the mouse cursor goes all over the screen and distracts me.

Well I played this on a friend's computer, who is running Windows XP SP3, and the same thing happens. So it must be an issue with the game I guess. But all the Luxors do it. Very strange, I can't believe that the mouse cursor is intended to be visible during gameplay. It just doesn't make any sense. It offers no purpose during gameplay but being in the way as you move your shooter across the bottom of the screen.
