I have a Microsoft Wireless Natural 7000 mouse using the latest Intellimouse software (7.0). I have Windows 7 Pro x64 installed. For some reason, I cannot change the scroll rate for this mouse. No matter what I change it to, the next time I look at that function in Control Panel the slider is right back where it started. Right now the mouse scrolls so fast that its almost useless for anything, except getting to the bottom of a page fast. :cry:

Any ideas as to why this is happening? All the other mouse controls work fine. I've Googled this problem and searched here too, but not found anyone else having this same problem. :confused:

Thanks.

Sam Hi and welcome to sevenforums

there are many things that can be causing that.
Did it ever work in win 7?
was win 7 a clean install or upgrade from vista?

type device manager in search and go to the mice and other tab.
look for you driver. Is it there ? is there a yellow triangle on it?

let us know

I figured it out, and do I feel dumb! <duh!> :o I realized that I had a little program running called "Katmouse" which lets me automatically scroll in any window panel without clicking on it first. The scroll rate was set there. I've just switched to "Whizmouse" which seems to be a bit more user friendly. All is well now.
