right the mouse in question is a Microsoft Comfort mouse 4500, which was in fact a replacement for another faulty and discontinued mouse l had.. (was pretty lucky to get 4 replacements due to a post and warehouse issue..)
but anywho.. of the two l kept both seem to have developed the same issue.. the scroll buttons sensitivity is off the charts which makes it hard to use the middle click to open what l want to open, half the time lm opening up something two or three links up or down because thats where the pointer ends up after l click..
now you may say its the mouse, which would have been true for my previous one but the second one when it works normally is fine but lve found when l leave my system on and go to sleep or leave for any period of time the scroller button issue seems to come back.. generally the only way to revert original sensitivity settings is by rebooting as none of the settings work on the MS keyboard and mouse centre.
