I have a4-tech usb mouse. It was working nice for many month. Now it randomly stops responding lsay freezing and then totally stops. Everytime it does it in this manner.

I know one thing that makes it work, i unplug my laptop's power and the mouse is back to work.. But this means i can only use it on battery and then when i charge my laptop, mouse stops responding periodically (like usb is being disconnected and connected again) and then just totally stops. This is when i don't see "HID Compliant Mouse" in device manager and "USB optical Mouse" in device and printers.

I searched for online solution, they said to "uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in Power Management < Properties < Usb Root Hub < Universal Serial Bus Controllers < Device Manager.. I did that but no help

I would uninstall the device from the device manager and then reboot and let windows re-detect it. You will have to use the keyboard to manipulate commands until you can get the mouse reinstalled. Seems as if something is causing a glitch to the mouse causing it to freeze like that.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
The solution that helped was funny.. It was about the supply voltage to battery while charging. I didn't notice one thing, my input power to adapter was varying.. That made mouse plug and unpluged alternatively so i used different outlet for charging and it worked
