Mouse struggling to highlight test for copy/paste action

NOTE: The issue is in win 7. I've swapped the mouse with the other PCs. The mouse works fine on other PCs. And all mouses struggle on this PC.

hard to highlight text for copy/pasting. The blue highlite bar wont behave. Can't seem to grab all the text. And it keeps moving & releasing with dragging. And not 24/7. Sometimes its fine. But most of the day or many times during the day its very annoying.

I've uninstalled AV programs. Changed AV programs. Can't seem to figure it out.

A system file check couldn't hurt either.

Is this a new issue or one you've had for awhile? If new have you tried a system restore?

Does this happen in all programs or specific ones?

• Its an on going issue.
• It's my wife's PC. I'll ask and report back - after following that troubleshooting - cleanup link. (I think's pretty much across the board though. definitely websites & notepad.
