Mouse trouble

Just bought my laptop and it has windows seven (of course XD).

One thing I notice right away, is the mouse is giving me trouble. The mouse will stick to one spot for a few seconds. Also, it tends to to regularly change the view of my window. Even a few times I'm in a middle of typing and i go to delete something. The mouse acts weird and then it goes backwards to the previous

Does the touchpad work ok? Can you list the mouse brand, model and specs?

I would first suspect the mouse driver.
