Solved Mousepad and keyboard not responding on login screen

Okay, I've done a clean reinstall of Windows 7 and that seems to have done the trick everything is fixed. I have one more question I have a windows.old folder, can I copy some of the programs installed I used in the older windows 7 back to the current one I am using?

Yes you can but be careful. Transfer on thing at a time. Then check if everything still works as it should. Reboot and transfer something else. ect.

You want to make sure you don't transfer the old problem back into your new install.
