Move iTunes icon from taskbar to start menu

This is petty, but it's driving me nuts. A very short drive. I know I need to find iTunes.exe, but I cannot find anything but "iTunes" in Programs. Where is the .exe part?

Hi,
If iTunes is open and on your taskbar the exe is already open,
There are a few ways to add it to the start menu programs list,
One simple one is to drag the taskbar listing/ icon on top of the start button and pause for a moment until the start menu list appears, "do not drop yet"
Then drag it up to where you want it to be waiting for a horizontal line to appear and release the drag,

Thanks. Thrashzone. The icon wouldn't go on top of the Windows "globe" start icon. It stopped moving to the left at the end of the tray.

Hi,
You might need to right click your taskbar and uncheck lock taskbar.

If still no joy,
Close iTunes and if the iTunes icon is still on the taskbar after closing it right click it and click on Unpin this program from taskbar,
At that point iTunes should not be anywhere on the taskbar,

Lets go back to the basics,
Click Start and All Programs,
iTunes should be listed is it
If so right click the listing and right click it and click on Pin to start menu.

If still nothing give a screen shot of the existing desktop and start menu list

Where is the .exe part?

Most likely your system is set to hide extensions for known file types (this is the default).

OK. Now the icon is gone altogether! What goes on in the night with those icons? Hmmm...
So I will try the instructions above later today.

And thanks for clearing up the exe mystery, pbcopter. I can quit looking for that now that I know it's hidden away.
