I'm Blind and got in a hurry: Sorry

Before we go any further "Backup Your Data"
So what we are going to is very simply to accomplish but also does things in a manner that Microsoft normally hides from us, which is to change the mount point for \users and to do this, we need another drive that's clear of all data. Using the Admin Tools in Control Panel, select Computer Management and Right Click as you need to run as Admin to do this. It will not work without Elevated Privelages.
AdminTools.PNG

Next is the Computer Management
Computer_Management2.PNG

As shown, you need to select Disk Management - No need to request Admin Rights again as you have them. This is how your C drive appears in Disk Management
DiskManagement3a.PNG

You need to right click on the Partition you intend to change the mount point for:

Here's the final Step, which is the Selection that's Highlited

Had to reupload the Computer Management Image and the Preview shows all

I am not sure as to what editions of Windows (Home/Pro/Ultimate/Enterprise) I can use to create/modify a Mount Point , please explain.

Secondly, what are the issues of the registry edits that you are thinking of?

They're PNG format so I don't know what the issue is but it's got to be your browser. Might also be a setting that's blocking the images in your browser - I'm using Firefox 78 thus PNG format well supported

You need to use the insert image tool to add images to the post, what was done was just to upload the image and not use it correctly which just displayed the URL to the image

Strange that the system didn't do what the Guide Says as I followed it diretly. Might be the guide isn't complete and yes I just checked it. Will see about reuploading them in case the issue is it didn't attach them as it should have.

Didn't follow all of the Instructions. Should now be fixed. If you want more clarity, let me know as I'm still cleaning it up but AFIK, this works in everything from Win7 on and may be available in Vista and XP

Appearently - Windows Isn't going to use the folder as when you create a new user, if there is an existing folder with the user name, it appends the system name (EG Joe.hackintosh) to the user profile so it looks as though there is no solution without using Audit Mode and getting involved in Registry Edits that aren't supported.
