Movie Maker with webcam input?

What Im basically wanting here is Movie Maker with the ability to record live webcam input, (just like XP did for me with this exact same webcam connected).

So I downloaded movie maker 14.0.8 (via Windows Live downloadable pack). I cant find anywhere about capturing live webcam video.

Someone suggested I go download MM 2.6. So I did, indeed it looks like the old XP interface I was used to, but again, no option for webcam capture, only import.

Could it just be my webcam is too old or something? It works with other applications like instant messengers so I know my PC is detecting it and has proper drivers, etc.

Has anyone else gotten this to work? TIA

I use the software that came with my webcam to capture the odd video clip, much easier and you gt a better quality i have found. What is the make of your webcam? Also did you solve the search delimiter problem in your previous Topic?

Yea, I ended up using a 3rd party app (Camtasia) to record live webcam input. MM just wasnt cutting it.
