I have pin-pointed an issue with my computer freezing down to Mozilla Firefox, or at least this is where I see it occur most often (I am a stubborn person and I do not enjoy using different browsers. I am unsure of whether or not this issue is isolated to Mozilla Firefox, and do not plan on changing to Chrome anytime soon, however, I will of course try it out to see if the problem occurs when I am using that as well). I have an NVIDIA GeForce video card that is updated through the "GeForce Experience", my Windows 7 has no updates, and I believe that all of my other drivers are up-to-date. While I am using Mozilla Firefox to type a document in Google Drive, or listen to music on YouTube (often times both) it sometimes will freeze my computer. This problem happened before and after I upgraded my RAM from 4GB to 8GB, however, before the new RAM was added, the entire computer might freeze for a couple of seconds, and then resume normal functions (and it would continually do this until I stopped using it). While it was frozen if I hit the start button, or Start + D/alt+ctrl+del/etc. the commands would follow through after the computer resumed. Now that I have installed the new RAM, whenever this problem occurs it will stay frozen until I do a hard-reboot to my computer. I have been unable to find any definitive causes of this. However, I have noticed that my mouse's curser, when this occurs, will change. For example, if I am typing a document and my curser is in that "I" shape that it turns into when its over text on any given webpage or document, then it will remain in that "I" shape for an indefinite amount of time (making it VERY hard to see) until it changes to something else, like the hand you get over links or other such things. As far as I know everything in my computer is working correctly, and I have recently done a malware and virus scan on the system. I will add that if I am playing music (from YouTube is the only place I play music) and the computer under-goes this freeze, then the music will play normally for about 1 second, then skip for a couple seconds, after which the audio cuts out (I don't know if this has any significance). After the freeze ends, if it does, then the music will continue playing from where it left off.

I apologize because the information I put above must seem muddled, and may very well be a completely insignificant block of text. I added things as I went along so yes it most likely seems very unorganized. I expect that you might need more information in order to solve my issue, so if that is so please request it and I will happily oblige.

Thank you, anyone who has actually read this for your time and consideration, and thank you anyone who might have an answer to my problem. Please have a nice day!

You stated that Windows has no updates.
Does that mean Windows shows no needed updates or you haven't updated Windows?

my Windows 7 has no updates,
It's very important that all ram matches in all ways.
Is all your ram the same; same brand, speed, volts, ect.

It would also be helpful if we had more system specs.
Example: Look at my system specs at the bottom of this post.
Power supplies are the root of a good computer so that information would be nice also.

What version of Firefox are you using?
Do you have any problem with your computer if you are not using Firefox?

I will go back and read your post again and maybe something will come to mind.

You forgot to follow through on this thread of yours.
You seem to have the same problem you had in that thread.

Go to Information ? mozillaZine Forums ; there, on the right side, type Nvidia in the top search box (Boards) box, and read some of the links, which may give you some useful information as to Nvidia versus Firefox.

Some Firefox housekeeping tips to keep it running smooth: Go into Options -> Privacy -> History and set it custom. I like to set mines to delete any history as soon as I close it, otherwise it starts to clog up with logs.

You are right, I apologize for this thread, I thought that the two were different enough for this new thread to be necessary. Upon further thinking, I realize that this thread is simply spam and I should have just added on the other thread instead. Thank you very much for your time, and I apologize again for this spam thread. I will continue on with the other thread now, and please have a nice day!
