chances are, if they are giving the music away for free and you don't pay anything, then it's probably not legit.

If you are worried that much or your conscience is bothering you -- then you've answered your own question.
Why should you assume Russia is any worse than anywhere else. Wasn't one of the biggest File sharing / Torrent sites in the world located in Sweden -- think there are loads of Court cases pending on that one.

As a previous poster says "Caveat Emptor" (and actually Russian Banks do have fairly decent security) -- it wasn't them who had mega Barclay / Visa card leakages recently.
