Hi,
I'm installing the free version of the aforementioned program. In case of a disaster, can I restore my image using a rescue flash pen? i.e. because I don't have any optical drive on my machine, I was asking if it's possible to have a rescue media on flash

You checked out the tutorials which is good - there are many of them!
BUT I would definitely not recommend a flash drive for storing and restoring images - why:
1) It's relatively slow
2) You are best to have a number of images and not just rely on one which could fail. A small external USB HDD is far better. It's faster and you can store multiple images.
3) I would have more confidence in the long term reliability of a HDD than a flash drive especially if it is only kept connected for imaging and reimaging.

Yeah I agree with you. I was just aiming to store the restoration part of the program on a flash pen instead of a CD/DVD coz I don't own a CD/DVD drive and I didn't bother installing one in my system. The image of my C: itself will be stored on another internal hard disk OR an external hard disk. After booting from the flash, I'm expecting to see my external hard disk letter from which I can browse and choose the stored image file. Do you agree with what I said?

Hi,

The restoration (rescue) part is perfectly fine on a thumb drive. Very useful when you don't have an optical drive.

Of course the system repair disc is a different matter. It can definitely be put on a usb flash drive and given the thread is marked solved you know how to do it.
You can put multiple utilities on the flash drive as well.
