Laptop came with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 trial installed. Used that and bought, downloaded 2010. After a year, it has stopped working and wants a product key for the trial version (upgrade code does not work: 'limited functionality" aka you can see it, but that's it.).

Suggestions?

Expect to uninstall 2007, but will it delete ALL MY FILES?

Should I/do I have to save or export all these before removing 2007?

Please advise! Thanks!

Uninstalling Office does not delete the word processing documents, Excel documents, etc, that you made. Those are saved elsewhere (like in your My Documents folder). You can safely uninstall Office 2007 trial, then install 2010 using the key you purchased.
