Try using the DVD to repair the setup instead of add/remove programs. That is if it's halfway installed.

Solution #2:
Switch DVD to different drive

Solution #3:
Give Office's autorun.exe an exception in Microsoft's Data Execution Prevention

1. Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings
2. Settings > Performance (Settings... Button)
3. Data Execution Prevention Tab > Turn On DEP for all programs except...
4. Add autorun.exe from your Office DVD via the add button.
5. Restart
6. Complete Installation
7. Revert to old DEP settings.

You have a dvd without an autorun file? That doesn't seem right.

You should be able to replace autorun.exe with setup.exe, but you'll have to start the install directly from "setup.exe" on the Office DVD.

Either way, I'm out of suggestions, those are all the fixes I found on the subject.
